About World Political Parties
World Political Parties is a bilingual, peer-reviewed bimonthly devoted to the comparative and international study of political parties and party systems. Launched to bridge the gap between regional area studies and general comparative politics, the journal publishes original research, scholarly essays, and informed debate on how parties organize, compete, and govern across democracies, hybrid regimes, and transitional systems.
Our editorial board brings together comparativists, area specialists, and practitioners from six continents. Every submission undergoes double-blind peer review. We welcome work that is empirically grounded, theoretically ambitious, and written for an international readership.
The journal is published in English and Chinese editions, with a shared commitment to methodological rigor and global coverage.
